WORLD SCHOLARS CUP
The World Scholars Cup is an international program that brings students together to engage in academic enrichment activities. WSC annually welcomes over 30,000 students to local eventsĀ around the world where students participate in teams of three and work together in 4 different academic events that include team debate, collaborative writing and team quizzes. In June 2019, Peace Power South Sudan hosted the first ever world scholars cup event in the country that brought together more than 100 students from high schools in Juba. Some teams qualified for a global round and travelled to Durban, South Africa to compete other other international students
FINANCIAL EDUCATION & ENTREPENEURIAL LEADERSHIP
In 2020, we implemented a 3-month fellowship for 15 recent high school graduates in South Sudan. The program focused on equipping the youth with financial knowledge and developing an entrepreneurial mindset while tackling challenges in their communities. The participants designed solutions and pitched their projects at the close of the fellowship.
